Temp 247 (tm) New York City Temp Agencies: Major Clients and Employers in NYC: Law Firms: Cadwalader: Ruined By Cadwalader

Cadwalder was probably the first law firm that I temped at long term. Previously, I had only temped at investments banks and at Chemical Bank and Manufacturers Bank.

For a very long time, I assumed, incorrectly, that law firms were as professional a work environment as Investment Banks because of my experience at Cadwalader. I was wrong.

Working at small law firms is like working in some bitch's house; these places are so unprofessional that you wonder how these people manage to get anyone to work for them. (a lot of these small (under 10 lawyers) law firms DON'T get anyone to work for them, they just go through an endless number of temps forever. Dewey Balantine is not a small law firm, but working at Dewey was like working in the fucking Subway; full of rude people, saying hi to someone in the hallway or in the elevator at Dewey was met by a blank stare.

Cadwalader was as nice a place to work as CS First Boston was. And note, when I say "nice place to work" I don't mean the fucking word processing centers.

almost all WP Centers are full of idiots
