If I didn't delete most of the shit temps post here on this board, this site would be full of the following:
"I registered with them and they acted like they liked me and would call me and they never called"
Welcome to the real world. You have to keep registering with temp agencies until some agencies DO call you. AND
The temp agencies that are NOT calling you, are calling other people or they would not be in business.
With temping, as with everything else, you have to sell what the public is buying. If you want to make money temping, you have to keep registering with agencies until you find one/some that like you. And second,
you have to prepare your resume and your presentation to match what temp agencies are looking for.
If you are registering with some agency and that agency even gives a hint that they might be wasting your time, instead of sitting there and letting some bitch waste three/four hours of your time, leave and go register with the agency next door. There are more than 1,000 temp agencies in NYC.
