We get resumes from people who can't get temp work. We are reading messages on messageboards from temps who claim they can't get work. Yet, on 12/19/01 when I actually called a couple of agencies to get temps in on second shift, I was told by two agencies that there were no temps available.

Maybe the temps that couldn't find work have just decided to stop looking until the holidays are over.

I was told by one agency that they might have someone available for third shift. The agency related that they had a temp who wanted to take a nap right now, but she might be interested in working third shift.

Is this what my life has come down to? Is my life now at the mercy of some temp's napping schedule?
