Not On Front Page but Agencies Are Advertising

Temp 247 (tm) New York City Temp Agencies: In the News Temping Wise: News Archives: Has It Come Down To This - NY Times Classified Section: Not On Front Page but Agencies Are Advertising

The NYT must charge a lot for front page ads on their classified section. If you look at the NYT Classifieds, there are a lot of temp agencies advertising, they just don't have big ads on the front page.

I read once on the staffingtoday webiste that The New York Times did once play host to a staffing industry convention. The Times has to recognize that temp agencies and the staffing industry are huge advertisers and that they represent a major source of advertising revenue.

I have yet to see the New York Times do a story on Net-Temps.com which is probably the biggest competitor to the NYT for temp agency advertising.
